2013 Moment of the Year announcement

by Aaron Giddens
With the 2013 season now over for our Rays (prematurely, sadly), we can now discuss how our BRaysball Talk's Annual Moment of the Year vote will work this year. For the past two years I have selected videos and you have voted on them, well this year it's gonna be completely up to you - the fans.

So here's this year's process:

Starting Monday, October 14, 2013 at 12:01am ET, a form will be up on BRaysballTalk.com that you will fill out your vote for the Moment of the Year. The information needed will be the "name" of the moment, who was involved, approximately when it happened, a brief description of the event, and finally, if possible, a link to it on MLB.com. This will run until Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 11:59pm ET, at that point no more submissions will be counted.

I will then, personally, sort through them and the top 5 responses will be put in a poll and you, the fans, will vote on that poll all of November. Meaning from Friday, November 1, 2013 at 12:01am ET until Thursday, November 24, 2013 at 11:59pm ET.

The votes will then be tallied and the winner announced when BRaysball Talk re-launches on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 6:00pm ET. And, as always, the winner will be displayed in the right-hand sidebar until Opening Day 2014 on March 31, 2014.

Remember, when you're tweeting or posting a Facebook status about the Moment of the Year vote to use the hashtag '#BTMotY13'.

Good luck to all the possible entries. May the best moment win!
