Tuesday night! It's time for baseball. Tonight the Rays welcome the Albert Pujols and the Angels to the Trop for the second and last series of this homestand. Rays send David Price to the mound who will be continuing to look for his 2010 self. Angels will counter with Ervin Santana. It's time for Rays baseball, here we go!

Outfield: Matt Joyce with one h-e-double hockey sticks of a catch for the second out in the 3rd. Outfield was good. (4 stars)

Infield: Evan Longoria made a great play on a bunt in the sixth to throw out Erick Aybar. Infield was perfect tonight. (4 stars)

Starting pitching: Price got the lead-off man on one pitch via groundout to third. Kendrick then strikes out and Pujols flies out. A Painless start to the game for Price. Price gets the Angels 1-2-3 in the second too. David keeps rolling in the third with another one two three inning with a major assist to Matt Joyce. Price allows his first baserunner in the 4th by walking the leadoff man. Kendrick then hits in to a possible double play and the Rays only get the lead off man. Pujols then lines out and then Hunter grounds out. Price gets through four without allowing a hit. Trumbo then leads off the fifth by getting a hit off of Price. Wells then grounds in to a double play. Price then allows a single to Izturis. Price gets out of it by striking out Iannetta. Price goes 1-2-3 in the sixth. Price got Albert out again to lead off the seventh, though he then gave up a single to Hunter. Price gets Trumbo swinging for the second out. Wells then grounds out to end the inning. Angels go 1-2-3 in the eighth. Aybar lead off the ninth with a single off Price. Price then strikes out Kendrick. Albert then flies out for the second out. Hunter then singles to left. Trumbo then flies out to left to complete the Complete Game Shutout for David Price.

This is the David Price we love. Period. (5 stars)

Bullpen: No bullpen pitchers were used tonight.

Catching: In the fifth, Molina fails to catch a ball so he can make an attempt to throw out the runner who ended up stealing second. (# stars)

Offense: Rays offense starts big. Jennings leads off homering to left. Pena makes a bid but falls short and is out. Longo walks but is immediately stranded as Scott pops out to end the inning. Joyce leads off the second with a single, but he is erased on a double play hit in to by the next batter, BJ Upton. Rays go 1-2-3 in the third. First two batters in the fourth are retired but then Luke Scott drives one out. Upton leads off the the fifth with a home run off the foul pole in left. Molina follows with a single. S-Rod then hit in to a fielders choice with Molina out at second. Jennings then reaches on a fielders choice of his own, S-Rod out at second. The hit and run was on as Zobrist grounds out in the shift to the second baseman to end the inning. Pena leads off the sixth with a home run, and it was his 1,000th career hit. Longo follows with a single and a steal of second without a throw. Luke then hits a check swing single with Longo moving to third, and that would chase Ervin Santana from the game and give way to the Angels' bullpen. Two batters later, BJ Upton hits a sac fly to right to score Longo. Molina strikes out to end the inning. S-Rod started the 7th for the Rays by striking out. Jennings strikes out following S-Rod. Zobrist strikes out and the Rays don't even make contact in the 7th. After five straight Rays batters strike out, Longo breaks it up....by grounding out to Shortstop. Scott grounds out to end the half inning.

The offense put on a well needed show tonight. Great offensive game. (4.7 stars)

Umpiring: No blown calls tonight that I can remember. Nice night for the Umps. (5 stars)

Player(s) of the game: David Price

Play of the game: Matt Joyce's diving catch in the 3rd.

Final word: All round good game tonight. It was nice to see David Price find his stuff tonight. It was also nice to see the power show from the Rays offense. Seal of approval given for this game. GET SOME! (5 stars)
